Do you know about the teen-centered programs that are available at our local libraries? In addition to key services such as career planning, computer skills, volunteer opportunities, and college test prep, the libraries in the Montgomery County Memorial Library system and our neighboring Harris County Public Libraries offer a myriad of stimulating activities – from trivia to book clubs to sushi-making – typically designed for children 13-17. Library programs are free!

The Woodlands Township will host a free event on Saturday, September 30, 2023 to share tips and resources for creating landscapes that are beautiful as well as water-wise and earth-friendly. The 26th annual Woodlands Landscaping Solutions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive.

Woodlands Landscaping Solutions, the region’s premier lawn and garden event, features dozens of retail and educational booths as well as lectures and hands-on learning by area experts with years of experience.

The Pavilion and Houston Symphony Blast Off to Space! September 14

Guests are invited to buckle up for an outer-space adventure with The Cynthia Woodlands Pavilion and Houston Symphony at Blast Off to Space! Thursday, September 14, 2023. The action-packed show, sponsored by Insperity, will feature iconic music from Star WarsE.T.The Planets and more – from the moon to Mars and beyond, this event is sure to transport everyone’s imagination to a galaxy far, far away! Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance. Mezzanine and lawn seating are FREE. Reserved orchestra seats are available for $25 per ticket.

Stomp, Chomp and Roar into Family Fun at Children’s Festival, November 11-12, 2023

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transforming into a giant Jurassic playground for the annual Children’s Festival presented by Texas Children’s Hospital—The Woodlands and the whole family is invited to come have some dino-mite fun! Tickets are now on sale for this year’s festival which will take place on Saturday, November 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 12 from Noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities.

New Fall 2023 Workshops at The Woodlands Children’s Museum

The Woodlands Children’s Museum offers Fall Workshops from August through December 2023, including new classes and several longtime favorites.  Workshops are offered year-round at the museum as part of its mission to create opportunities that educate, empower and excite children and families through play.
