The Woodlands Township invites residents to celebrate the holiday season at the annual Lighting of the Doves festival on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, 77380. 

"Lighting of the Doves is not just an event; it's a tradition that symbolizes unity and holiday spirit in The Woodlands,” said Township Chairman Dr. Ann K. Snyder. “As the doves light up the night sky, we invite you to be a part of this extraordinary experience.”

For 34 years, YMCA Run Thru The Woods has been one of the premier running and walking family events in Texas. The Huntsman Corporation has generously taken the lead as Presenting Sponsor for the annual charity event held on Thanksgiving morning in The Woodlands.

The Woodlands Township invites residents to celebrate America Recycles Day by bringing select items for a free, one-day special collection at the 3R Recycling Drive-thru located at The Woodlands High School on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 9 a.m. to noon. This free event is an opportunity to recycle items that cannot be recycled in curbside carts.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transforming into a giant Jurassic playground for the annual Children’s Festival presented by Texas Children’s Hospital - The Woodlands and the whole family is invited to come have some dino-mite fun! Tickets are now on sale for this year’s festival which will take place on Saturday, November 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 12 from Noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities.
