Howard Hughes announces LAM, a luxury boutique furniture store for the well-tailored home, will open at Hughes Landing. The opening underscores the continuing trend of The Woodlands attracting high-end retailers from affluent areas of Houston to open satellite locations, including businesses featuring couture clothing and accessories, fine dining establishments, and upscale entertainment venues.
LAM, formerly LAM BESPOKE, offers customers a fine selection of design-led, customizable furnishings and décor. The 9,200-square-foot retail store in Hughes Landing will be located next to Postino, across from Whole Foods Market. The new store will mark the third LAM location in the Greater Houston area, complementing the locations in the Upper Kirby and Memorial areas.
“Over the years, we've had an increasing number of clients who drive into Houston from the north side. With the continued growth in The Woodlands and surrounding areas, we saw a chance for LAM to connect with new customers here. The Woodlands location will be our second largest store and offers an opportunity to create something beautiful,” said owner Cathy Lam. “LAM thoughtfully curates a mix of upholstered furnishings, case goods, lighting, art, and objects for the home. The items are stocked for immediate purchase, and we also offer options for special ordering and customization. When clients seek interior design inspiration from the pages of shelter magazines or scroll through Instagram and see lovely pieces, we want them to know that LAM is a destination for those goods.”
“The addition of LAM exemplifies the trend of luxury retailers that are continuously attracted to The Woodlands,” said Marissa Moreau, Manager of Leasing for Howard Hughes. “We are confident that residents and visitors of The Woodlands will appreciate the elevated level of home furnishings and décor at LAM, all within the walkable setting of Hughes Landing.”
LAM is anticipated to open in the summer of 2024.
