The Woodlands Township reminds residents that early voting for the November election begins on Monday, October 23, 2023. The last day of early voting by personal appearance is November 3, 2023.
Three at-large positions on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be elected in the November 2023 election, designated as positions 5, 6, and 7. To vote in The Woodlands Township election, you must be a registered voter in the county of your residence and a resident of The Woodlands Township. Junior League of The Woodlands is thrilled to announce tickets are now on sale for the 21st Annual Junior League Holiday Market. This year's festive event themed ‘Holly Jolly’ promises to immerse visitors in a world of holiday magic, delightful treasures, and heartwarming experiences.
On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, The Woodlands Children’s Museum will host its annual SpookTacular event, featuring children’s carnival-type games and activities, Halloween-themed art projects, Monster Mash Boogie Bash, and magic shows. This fa-BOO-lous event is a perfect opportunity for children 7 and under to dress up in their favorite costumes while sharing holiday fun in a non-spooky, daytime environment.
“We love seeing families dress up, play and giggle along to an award-winning magic show,” stated Angela Colton, the museum’s Executive Director. “The museum is transformed for this one day only, with bewitching games and activities that are specifically curated for young children.”
Families can enjoy the spellbinding charm of Monty the Magician during his magic shows at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm. During Monster Mash Boogie Bash at 10:00am and 11:00am, children can enjoy fingerplay, songs and creative movement activities set to a festive holiday theme.
Favorite games such as ring-a-pumpkin, ghost bowling, bobbing for marshmallows, mummy wrap and many more will be available throughout the day. At The Muse Art Bar, children will be able to create Squishy Guts, Handprint Dracula and Playful Play Dough. Sensory bins and boxes will also have touch-and-feel surprises.
The museum will be open from 9:00am – 2:00pm for the event and Members and Non-Member admission is Adults: $8, Children 1-13 years: $12, Children under 1: $8. Capacity will be limited and guests without advance tickets will be accommodated if space allows.
