What would you think if I told you your child can mix up some fun kitchen ingredients and actually bake up a REAL interactive plush friend? It's true! The Cookeez Makery Oven Playset is one of the most innovative toys I've seen in a long time! Your child can mix together some raw ingredients, pop it into the Cookeez Makery Baked Treatz Oven, and he/she will soon have a new plush companion! I find myself wondering WHERE WAS THIS TOY when I was a kid? It's an extraordinary blend of creativity mixed with a bit of MAGIC.
Check out my video demo:
The playset includes everything you need for an interactive play experience with your child, including an easy-to-follow instruction manual:
1. Open the 2 toy ingredient sachets to make the dough. A measuring cup is used for adding a small amount of water, and a spatula tool is included for mixing.
2. Shape into a dough ball.
3. Use the included mold to further shape the dough.
4. Pop the dough into the toy oven.
5. Close the oven door and turn the knob. Wait for the timer to go off. (About 1 minute)
6. Open the oven door and be stunned at the plush toy sitting in the oven!
The new, "freshly baked" friend that your child has just baked up will be warm, and it'll also smell delicious! The feline stuffy that we created had adorable features - wide eyes, cute ears, and a smiling face with tongue hanging out. Plus, the new friend makes lovable sounds when your child squeezes it. It's irrisistible, huggable fun!
Let me tell you... the Cookeez Makery Oven Playset is EVERYTHING that a child could want! It features a bit of "baking," some magic, a a new plush best friend. It definitely gets 5 stars, in my book.
"Great," you're thinking, "but this enchanting experience can only be a single use toy, and then it's over?" Actually, not so fast! It's easy for grown-ups (and maybe older kids too) to determine that there's a trap-door scenario going on here, where the pre-cooked dough drops to the bottom of the oven, and the hidden plush animal drops from an upper trap door - falling into place where the pre-cooked dough was previously situated. This is what creates the magic of htis toy. And the included instructions show you how you can reset everything (and it even includes plastic bags for you to store the dough), and use this toy over and over again. You can purchase other plush treatz for your child and have him/her continue to "bake" new stuffed friends, or you can use the same stuffie to do the experiment with other kids and friends (just be sure they know ahead of time that they can't keep the stuffed animal if you don't intend for them to.)
I should note that there seems to be a couple different varieties of this toy. One is the Cookeez Makery Cinnamon Treatz Oven, which is what we ordered and comes in a pink box, and the other version one comes in a blue box. From what I can tell they're both the same, and regardless of which one you choose, you won't know exactly which new creation you will end up with. It's a surprise factor that I can appreciate! Also, I'm noticing that "bundles" are being sold, so that your playset can include other toys as well.
Whatever the case, if you want your child to experience this interactive playtime delight, I recommend putting this on the wish list and getting your hands on this toy sooner rather than later. I've watched the best prices on Amazon steadily rise, and I also called upon several major retailers (and even placed a Walmart order, just to be told after my order was placed that the item had gone out of stock). So I suspect this toy will be one of THE ONES to get for Christmas 2023 and Birthdays. Even on Amazon - I've watched it go in and out of stock for the past 6 days.
