Half Baked Goodness, a cookie store known for its thick, gooey treats, will be the first new tenant announced for Grogan’s Mill Village Center, joining established businesses including Brother's Pizza, Ome Calli Café, Safeway Driving, The UPS Store, Woodforest National Bank, Brite Touch Cleaners (The Woodlands Cleaners), 4H Tailor and The Woodlands Farmer’s Market, which is held every Saturday morning. Grogan’s Mill Village Center is undergoing a transformative redevelopment, creating a modern community hub anchored by a Library and Community Center.
Existing retailers and businesses are currently open during construction with the completion of the village center slated for summer 2025.
Owned by residents of The Woodlands, Half Baked Goodness specializes in providing sweet treats for everyone – including those with dietary restrictions. Their menu features 13 traditional cookie flavors (with two rotating weekly options) plus six different flavors available in keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, and vegan varieties.
After opening their first successful location in College Station, the owners specifically chose The Woodlands for their second store. "Living in The Woodlands, we were familiar with the Howard Hughes product. We know how they build spaces and successfully turn things around. We wanted our store to be part of the revitalization of Grogan's Mill," stated the owners.
Despite its playful name, Half Baked Goodness delivers fully cooked cookies made fresh in-house. The owners, who discovered the bakery franchise while following a keto diet, were impressed by it being the first to offer keto cookies – which they still describe as "the best cookie they've ever tasted". Their product line includes custom cookie cakes in various flavors and sizes, along with individually wrapped cookies in both six-ounce standard and three-ounce party sizes for catering.
“We're thrilled to welcome Half Baked Goodness to our retail family at Grogan's Mill," said Marissa Moreau, Senior Manager, Leasing for Howard Hughes. "Their innovative approach to inclusive baking and strong local connection will add a wonderful new dimension to our village center. We know our residents will appreciate having access to these high-quality, thoughtfully crafted treats right in their neighborhood."
Half Baked Goodness is anticipated to open in summer 2025 with hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Customers can order online at halfbakedgoodness.com for takeout or delivery through third-party services.
