Celebrate Arbor Day in The Woodlands

Since 1977, The Woodlands Township has distributed over 1.5 million tree seedlings through their annual Arbor Day event. This year they will hand out another 44,000 seedlings free to residents of the community on Saturday, January 26th from 10AM-2PM at Hughes Landing. Class Act Stars On Tour will also be on hand for a special musical performance.

Clifford The Big Red Dog - Special Museum Exhibit, Jan 18 - May 12

A big red opening will take place at The Woodlands Children’s Museum Friday, Jan. 18, for an exhibit featuring a BIG RED DOG named CLIFFORD!

Board the Birdwell Island ferry and journey to the world of Clifford™, America’s beloved big red dog with a heart to match. See Emily Elizabeth™ and many of the residents of Birdwell Island.

Inspired by Scholastic Entertainment’s TV show, Clifford The Big Red Dog® on PBS Kids®, the exhibit offers numerous immersive “paws-on” adventures that reinforce “Clifford’s Big Ideas” – 10 simple tangible life lessons designed to help young children navigate their world. They are: Share, Play Fair, Have Respect, Work Together, Be Responsible, Be Truthful, Be Kind, Believe in Yourself, Be a Good Friend and Help Others.

Metropark Square slated to open March 2019!


Sam Moon Group has announced that Metropark Square is officially slated to open in March 2019 and is planning monthly events on their lawn area. The highly-anticipated development will contain a brand new 10-screen AMC movie theater, a fun-filled Urban Air Adventure Park, a central green space area that will include a pavilion to host various events throughout the year, a Dave & Buster’s, a Hyatt House as well as residential housing, restaurants, and retail.

Cirque du Soleil is coming to Texas this winter!

Cirque du Soleil is coming to Texas this winter with a Big Top production! From January 10 – February 24, Houston audiences are invited under a redesigned white-and-gold Big Top at Sam Houston Race Park to escape to an imaginary Mexico with LUZIA – the production’s first run in Texas.

Dine-In Theater to Join Creekside Park® West

The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC), announced today that Moviehouse & Eatery® will open its first Houston location at Creekside Park® Village Center in The Woodlands®. The luxury, dine-in theater will be located in a new 12-acre retail development, Creekside Park West, within the center, developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation. 
 
Moviehouse & Eatery will include 11 wall-to-wall screens, full-service food and beverage service at every luxury reserved recliner, a full bar and a scratch kitchen. The Moviehouse & Eatery will anchor the initial phase of the retail development, making Creekside Park the first village in The Woodlands with its own theater. 

A Magical Winter Break at The Woodlands Children’s Museum

altChildren are invited to spend their winter break playing, laughing and marveling at amazing feats of magic at The Woodlands Children's Museum.

The museum has a full lineup of special activities from Dec. 27 to Jan. 4, including magicians, live music, a visit from Olaf the snowman from Frozen, and the fun and excitement of Winter Bingo.

"We look forward to the opportunity of providing children and their families with magical moments, kindling children's imaginations during carefree playtime and encouraging joyful times of singing and laughing with our on-stage entertainers," said Angela Colton, executive director of the museum.
