When your child is 14 years old, he/she will be old enough to start driver’s ed!

MIND BLOWN, right? They just grow up too fast! When they’re 15-years-old, they can get their driver’s permit in Texas. And then it’s on to the provisional license at 16.

We’ve been enjoying our experience with the online driver’s ed program, Aceable, and I wanted to share some details here because I HIGHLY recommend it.

On May 2, witness the Woodlands Symphony in a new venue with a new conductor, new seating design and a new program honoring music educators.

The Event Center at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion hosts this year’s Woodlands Symphony spring celebration, A Symphonic Metamorphosis. Doors open at 5:00 PM with seating for General Admission, Student Discount prices, and orchestra section VIP seating. The Event Center will be at half capacity for this concert limiting audience to the first 500. Tickets for this concert sold exclusively at TicketMaster outlets and online.

Lowe's is offering something new this season, and we're here for it! SpringFest is their biggest event of the season for Home & Garden, and they have several events, activites, projects, demos, and deals on the schedule - something new planned every week throughout the month of April -  to help you get excited about your yard for the current season. The Montgomery County Memorial Library System is delighted to remind residents that library branches are fully open for services in a safety-conscious environment. All library branches are open for a multitude of services, and no reservation is needed for a visit. Computer labs are available for individual use for up to 2 hours a day with either a regular borrower's card or the MConline digital access card. Study rooms are available for up to 2 hours a day with your library card. Reservations are needed but can be made as a walk-in or up to 24 hours in advance online at https://www.countylibrary.org/rooms.htm. WiFi is free at all library locations during regular business hours.

MCMLS remains committed to your health and safety. Seating areas are spaced to encourage social distancing. Cleaning wipes are available for use as well. Library staff can assist you in book recommendations, reference questions, and research. However, computer assistance is limited due to social distancing restrictions. Boot up! It's rodeo time! Bring your family out to the Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo that takes place every day beginning Friday, April 9 - Sunday, April 18 at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center and Montgomery County Fairgrounds,  9201 Airport Rd in Conroe. This event features all the excitement we LOVE about rodeos - livestock shows, contests, musical entertainment, carnival rides, midway games, FOOD, shopping, "rodeo" fun such as barrel-racing, roping, pet parades, etc., and more! Yep, April just got a lot more fun!

If you attend the event Monday - Thursday, admission and parking are both free! Otherwise, ticket prices are as follows:
