SeaWorld San Antonio is celebrating Halloween all month long with fun by day at Spooktacular and fright by night at Howl-O-Scream. My family recently had a chance to check out the fun that awaits every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 28. We had an amazing time revisiting favorite rides, checking out some new ones (yeah for taller kids!), enjoying Halloween-themed shows and a special themed dining experience!

Moms, best friends and funny ladies Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley, creators of the viral web-series #IMOMSOHARD, brought their Mom's Night Out: Round 2 show to Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land on September 25th. Through their web videos the duo copes with parenthood by laughing about all of the craziness that comes with being a mom, from snot to stretchmarks to sleepless nights. They try, they fail, they support each other, and they mom as hard as they can.
Strap on your unicorn ears or big-as-Texas bow, throw on your custom printed shirt and stuff that purse full of snacks, because, mama - you're going to KIDZ BOP!
Forget simply surviving a family vacation (or the weekend, for that matter!) - consider thriving, exploring and bonding as a family at YMCA Camp Cullen Family Camp. These weekend camps, scheduled monthly from September through May, are action-packed with fun and adventure for the whole family. My family was given the opportunity to participate in the Labor Day Camp and we spent an amazing, active weekend in outdoors... testing our strengths, exploring new passions, goofing around and making memories to last a lifetime.

I had the most wonderful experience decorating cupcakes with my 10 year old, as part of the Create by CRAVE experience at CRAVE in The Woodlands.
Now I bet you’re thinking “I decorate cupcakes at home with my kids all the time. What’s so special about Create by CRAVE?”
In a word, everything.
When I decorate cupcakes at home, I end up with a plate of puny cupcakes all decorated with chocolate icing and blue sprinkles. On the contrary, the photo below is just a sampling of the cupcake creations you can make at Crave! How’s this for inspiration?
The difference between CRAVE – voted consecutively as “Houston’s Best Cupcakes” - and my house? Well, most importantly, you get to start with bakery-quality, fresh, gourmet cupcakes as a base. No offense to my faithful box of Betty Crocker mix, but sometimes, only the best will do!
We are using up the last of our summer reading rewards from the library which encouraged me to try Papa Murphy's for the first time. The reward was for a free Mini Murph Make 'N' Bake Pizza Kit and the experience was fun and easy for my kids to create their own dinner. Kits are available for around $4 locally.

The Koloreenies are here! All five girls in my family (myself included) were very excited to welcome these sweet babies home! My oldest daughter turns 13 in just over a week, and I had no idea she would be just as thrilled to get her hands on the newest, smallest, Neonate Nerlie babies by Distroller. I'm pleased to introduce you to Baby Lili Pink and Baby Petunia Bloom. Do you remember the YouTube review I did a while back when we brought home our first set of babies? (If you didn't see it, CLICK HERE.) Well, these Koloreenies are even cuter, and they’re so lovable!
With two preschoolers and a kindergartener, my family has amassed a huge collection of the popular Pinkalicious books by Elizabeth Kann & Victoria Kann. I was excited to learn that the original book has been made into a family friendly musical being performed at Main Street Theater in Midtown Houston through the end of July.
