Saturday, November 13, 2021, 09:00am - 12:00pm

Celebrate America Recycles Day! Free drive-thru recycling of lightbulbs, alkaline batteries, block Styrofoam, textiles, snack and beverage pouches, and eyeglasses. Secure document shredding offered for a suggested donation of $5 or five cans of food.

Important Traffic Information
All vehicles must enter at The Woodlands High School parking lot through the entrance on Millennium Forest Drive. A map will be provided on this page the week before the event.

PLEASE NOTE: To avoid traffic issues, participants are advised NOT to arrive early. Wait times could reach 30 minutes or more. If lines grow beyond capacity, route redirections are possible. Access to the event may also be restricted prior to noon if necessary, based on traffic patterns. No public restroom facilities will be available.

Celebrate America Recycles Day at the 3R Recycling Drive-thru. This event celebrates the importance of recycling in our community and offers a free opportunity to recycle select items that cannot be recycled in curbside carts.

Please bag or box items separately by item type and place them in your trunk or back passenger side seat for safe access by volunteers.  If you have documents for shredding and food pantry donations, a volunteer will remove these from the vehicle and take them to the shred truck.

Support the Village Recycling Challenge for 2021
This year’s Village Recycling Challenge item is Incandescent, Compact Fluorescent (CFL) and LED light bulbs. No tube lights over 4 feet. Light bulbs must be intact, not broken. This friendly competition awards funds for scholarships to Villages with the highest participation, donated by The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. Please place bulbs in a separate box and label with your Village’s name or tell the volunteer when you drop off.
