Enjoy an evening with family and friends at Rob Fleming Park! Bring lawn chairs, grab a bite to eat at the food trucks and enjoy a FREE live Shakespeare theatre performance of Taming of the Shrew by Points North Theatre Company and some of your favorite local musicians. Open to audiences of all ages!

Arts in the Park presents Shakespeare in the Park with pre-show music at 6 p.m., followed by a live Shakespeare theatre performance of Taming of the Shrew, by Points North Theatre Company, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Popular Bianca Minola wants to get married, but her dad says no way until her older sister Katharine ties the knot first. Enter Petruchio, hitting town to find a wealthy woman to marry. Bianca and her suitors go about setting up Petruchio and Kate, but the couple mix as well together as napalm and gasoline. Petruchio vows to 'tame' the wild Kate, who just might have something to say about it herself. Set in the colorful, big-haired, parachute-panted, music-driven world of the 1980s, this modern take on a timeless classic shouldn't be missed! Directed by Joseph Urick.
