Storybook Theatre in January
Friday, January 24, 2025, 11:00am

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, January 10th  presents “Chicken Dance” by Tammi Sauer. The prize for the annual barnyard talent show is tickets to see Elvis Poultry in concert! The intense competition between the chickens and ducks makes for lots of giggles.

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, January 17th  presents “Caps for Sale: A Tale of a Peddler, Some Monkeys and Their Monkey Business” by Esphyr Slobodkina. January 15 was National Hat Day, so we’re celebrating a little late with this classic and humorous story about a peddler, some mischievous monkeys, and some “disappearing” caps!

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, January 24th  presents “The Year of the Snake: Tales from the Chinese Zodiac” by Oliver Chin. In honor of Lunar New Year (January 29) and The Year of the Snake, this story is about Suzie, a young serpent who sets out on an adventure to change others’ attitudes about snakes!

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, January 31st  presents “Snowflake in My Pocket” by Rachel Bright. In this sweet tale about friendship, Bear is sick and can’t go out to play with Squirrel, who is experiencing his first snowfall. Missing his dear buddy, Squirrel decides to put a snowflake in his pocket to give to Bear. Bear then comforts Squirrel over the melted snowflake by pointing out that unlike snow, friends are forever!
