30+ Mini "Dates" - Taste of the Town, January 4 - 31 , 2021

Taste of the Town has returned to The Woodlands this month, and in our opinion, it's better than ever! Rather than a single-location event where you gather with others in a hotel hall to sample light bites from various restaurants, this year's event will be a month-long extravaganza where you will actually go to several different participating restaurants, at your own convenience, from January 4 - 31.

With 30-40 local restaurants participating, this means you can buy a ticket for yourself and your partner and then plan 30-40 mini "dates" between now and the end of the month!

Seismique - An Out of This World Experience, opens Dec. 26, 2020

I suddenly feel like the COOL kid in class, having just experienced the most ground-breakingly phenomenal museum ever! Seismique (seis • mick) – a 40,000-square-foot art-fueled experiential museum, comes to Houston’s west side beginning December 26 and will capture the attention and imagination of wide-ranging audiences who won't be able to resist the gravitational pull of 40-plus unique exhibits overflowing with dazzling displays of light generated by 9 million LEDs, color, sound, and natural elements. 

We visited the first-to-market arts and entertainment space, and it was like having an out-of-body experience. The museum features works by over two dozen established and emerging artists – many of whom are Texas-based – along with advanced technological elements like projection mapping from 111 projectors, holograms, augmented reality, light mapping, motion tracking, gamification and more. Though visitors can expect to see and experience multiple art forms in a playful setting, each of Seismique’s installations shares the common denominator of being a dynamic expression of visual art brought to life by a bevy of serious artists.

Township Presents ‘Holiday in The Woodlands’ at Arts in the Park, Saturday, December 19

The Woodlands Township invites the community to a special Arts in the Park on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 5 p.m. at Waterway Square, 31 Waterway Square Place, The Woodlands, TX 77380. Arts in the Park is free and open to the public.

Points North Theatre, in conjunction with The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Jazz Orchestra, presents ‘Holiday in The Woodlands,’ an original 1940s USO-style musical revue.

Free COVID-19 Testing at Township Town Hall—Insurance Now Accepted

The Woodlands Township is a host location for free COVID-19 testing performed by COVID-19 testing company, Curative, Inc. The walk-up testing takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. The Woodlands, TX 77381 until future notice. Please see holiday hours noted below.

As part of the free COVID-19 testing, customers will now be asked to submit their insurance information when scheduling a test. Testing is still offered at no cost to the patient. Customers without insurance will still be tested at no personal cost using coverage from the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act.
