The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) announced Bluestone Lane, an Australian-based premium coffee and healthy food brand café, is coming to Lake Woodlands Crossing in The Woodlands Town Center in The Woodlands®, and will be located adjacent to Flower Child restaurant.
The Woodlands will be Bluestone Lane’s second Houston-area location, complementing their recently opened café in the Houston Heights area. Bluestone Lane is an award-winning coffee roaster and recently crowned as the Golden Bean North America winner, a coffee roasters competition. They are widely known for being the brand to introduce “Avocado Toast” and authentically introduced “Flat White” – an espresso-based drink that contains steamed milk – to the U.S.
“We chose The Woodlands for our second Houston-area location for its livability and close community feel,” said Nicholas Stone, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Bluestone Lane. “We are inspired by the independent coffee culture found in Australia and look forward to introducing our brand and connecting with the locals of The Woodlands community, where I have a number of friends and family members who live here.”
“As a high-end café, Bluestone Lane is a great addition to the restaurants, retailers and service providers within Lake Woodlands Crossing,” said Marissa Moreau, Manager of Leasing for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “This retail center has seen an increase in leasing activity which is reflective of its excellent location that is convenient to other shopping destinations in The Woodlands Town Center, The Woodlands Waterway and Hughes Landing.”
Currently, Lake Woodlands Crossing is 89% leased, with Bluestone Lane at Lake Woodlands Crossing anticipated to open by the end of this year. Bluestone Lane currently has more than 55 cafés across the country, with the majority of their U.S. locations in California and the Northeast. The café plans to open two additional Houston-area locations in Rice Village and Post Oak Village.
