Storybook Theatre in OCTOBER
Friday, October 25, 2024, 11:00am

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, October 4th presents “Sammy Spider’s First Rosh Hashanah” by Sylvia A. Rouss. Today is the last day of Rosh Hashanah, and the story of curious Sammy introduces us to the symbols of this holiday as he watches the Shapiros celebrate a sweet New Year.

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, October 11th presents “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll.  Join us for this whimsical classic tale of Alice’s adventures in honor of today’s Mad Hatter Adventure at the museum!

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, October 18th presents “Goodnight to The Woodlands” by Zach Merta.  October 19th is the 50th Anniversary of The Woodlands, so this is obviously the perfect story to celebrate this important occasion! The book is filled with landmarks and special things that make this community so special.

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, October 25th presents “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything” by Linda Williams.  This is one of Miss Jan’s favorite stories for Halloween! Children will help provide sound effects for this child-friendly seasonal tale of the little old lady who encounters some noisy items while strolling through the woods. She gets over her fear in a delightful and creative way.

Introduce your child to the wonder of reading and instill a love of books at an early age. Storybook Theatre combines your favorite childhood books with songs, rhymes and fingerplays which are meant to promote early literacy and enhance language development.
