Saturday, September 13, 2025, 09:00am - 05:00pm

Join us in kick-starting a celebration of Hispanic heritage! Hispanic Heritage Month is in full swing, and so are the performances, crafts and much more!

Ojo De Dios: Create a colorful yarn weaving as you learn about its roots in 15th-century Huichol culture as a meditative tool for seeking wisdom, peace, and guidance.

Fiestas Patrias Speech Reenactment: Join us for a vibrant celebration of Fiestas Patrias featuring live mariachi, a powerful reenactment of the Grito de Dolores—the historic call to arms by Miguel Hidalgo that launched the fight for independence—and a festive finale with mariachi and traditional ballet folklórico.

Calmecac Indigenous Organization – Danza Azteca Splendor!: Experience the world of Ancient Mexico in this multi-disciplinary performance of traditional Aztec dancing.

Introduction to Latin Rhythms: An educational performance where students will learn about the origins and development of the Tumbadora, better known as the conga drum.

Abanicos de papel tricolor: Create a fan using colors of your chosen flag to keep cool as you celebrate Fiestas Patrias!

Papel picado flag: Design your own independence flag using the Mexican folk-art form of Papel Picado.
