These hobnail drinking glasses are so cute! I saw these same ones at the Tremont Hotel in Galveston when we stayed for a night this summer, and I quickly made it my mission to find a set of my own. Literally, I stayed up that night in the hotel, browsing online to find them. I didn't know what they were called, but I figured I'd find them at Crate & Barrel, because I've gotten nice dishes from the store in Houston in the past.
Well, what do you know? Not only were they at Crate & Barrel for $10/glass, but I also found them on Pottery Barn's website and practically dozens of other online places. It a surprise I hadn't run across these before.
Obviously, I checked my trusty Amazon, and again, lots of sellers and listings, so I spent time going through each and and every listing and found the listing that seemed most reputable. BINGO! The glasses I received are just as described, and at a price of about $25 for 6 of them, it's a far cry less than the other prices I'd seen. The coloring is unique; sometime the glasses look more blue-green, sometimes more blue, and other times they look more blue-gray, depending on lighting. They're weighty and durable, and drinking out of them just makes us feel super elegant. Even more special, they arrived in a rigid, beautiful blue box that I've put aside to use for some other purpose!
I bought two sets of these (12 total), and my family quickly parted ways with the clear glasses we've been using for the past 5-7 years, and we're making these are everyday glasses. Because every day should feel elegant, don't you think?
