Lake Travis Zipline Adventures (LTZA) will officially open Saturday, March 1 for the spring, summer, and fall season. Located at Adventure Island, 14529 Pocohontas Trail, Leander, TX 78641, this outdoor adventure offers multiple options for guests of all ages offering the “Adventure of a Lifetime” no matter which tour they choose.
Guests may choose from: the full course 3-hour guided adventure with 5 of the fastest and longest ziplines in Texas, ranging from 250 feet to over 2800 feet; the “Double Barrell Shotgun,” a 1.5-hour tour, which includes soaring over Lake Travis on the longest and fastest zipline in Texas; or experience the 3-hour guided adventure “Full Moon” night tour offered monthly in conjunction with the full moon schedule; headlamps and glow sticks provided.
In between gliding across beautiful canyons and soaring over Lake Travis, zipliners will take nature hikes through the Texas Hill Country with two professional tour guides. Each adventure includes all necessary equipment, boat transportation and bottled water throughout the tour, with additional all-day access to a private lake front property where adventurers can picnic, play games, or relax in one of the hammocks.
Lake Travis Zipline Adventures is locally owned and operated priding itself on Core Values of Safety First, Family First, while providing a unique and memorable outdoor adventure experience.
Returning this season after a successful launch in 2024 is #LTZAgives, a fundraising platform created by owner John Shipley to support charitable organizations helping to hold the community up. #LTZAgives utilizes LTZA facilities on a designated date when typically closed providing all necessary facilities, staffing, reservations logistics and Adventure Tour Guides to execute a world class experience for all attendees, at no cost to the charity partner. The Charity Partner receives 100% of the proceeds from that day. Additionally, adventurers will have a built-in option to support the #LTZAgives Charity Partner throughout the season during their reservation process or on-site day of their booking; again with 100% of all donations benefiting the charity.
With special significance to both original founders of Lake Travis Zipline Adventures and each having first-hand experience as to the tragic outcomes associated with Alzheimer’s, Alzheimer’s Association has been chosen for the second consecutive year to be the 2025 #LTZAgives Charity Partner.
“We, at LTZA, continue to feel a great passion to give back to our community,” said owner John Shipley. “After careful consideration of the many fine charities we could support, we want to continue the momentum created in partnering with Alzheimer’s Association last year and hope additional funds raised through #LTZAgives 2025 will enable them to expand resources and further the incredible work they do.”
Details on the event benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association and how to register will be announced at a later date.
