Houston’s favorite 20-yard dog race is back at Kirby Ice House next month with a fun-filled afternoon of food trucks, crawfish, backyard games, and most importantly, Corgi Racing with the top four pups taking home prizes.
On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Woodlands sports bar will be transformed into a dog track to accommodate four-legged friends as they race for the Golden Corgi Trophy! Drink specials will be flowing from 11 am until 5 pm, including $5 mimosas, bloody marys, and house cocktail “Kirby Fresca” made with sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Corgis are invited to participate with a $10 donation benefitting BARC. Forms to signup can be found here.
Please note that Kirby Ice House loves all canines, but in order to keep things fair, only Corgis will be allowed to enter. No mixes. All dogs must have two people accompanying them (strictly 21 and up), one handler at the start and one catcher at the finish.
Kirby Ice House is located at 1700 Lake Robbins Dr in The Woodlands. There is plenty of free parking in the adjacent lot.
