Seasonal Programming
Curated by City Place resident Denise Zimmermann, PhD, “Threads of Time: Sewn Through Generations” will debut on March 8 in celebration of International Women’s Day. Though the lens of fashion, the unique exhibit spotlights the perspective of five women representing five generations – The Silent Generation, The Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z. Each participant was given the same dress to reinterpret based on her perspective of the corresponding generation. To accompany the fascinating results, an accompanying commentary will describe the strengths, struggles, celebrations and restrictions each felt their generations were confronted with and were able to overcome. The free exhibit will be on display in the lobby of 1700 City Plaza Drive (behind Common Bond) through March 21 – Monday through Friday from 8 am-5 pm.
Hop into City Place on March 30 from 11am to 1 pm for an Easter celebration on The Plaza. Open to the public and free of charge, the family-friendly afternoon will showcase a petting zoo, photos with the Easter bunny, arts and crafts and more.
