Monarca, a new Mexican restaurant, will make its debut in Creekside Park® Village Green, adding to the variety of eateries and amenities in Creekside Park Village Center in The Woodlands®, the award-winning master planned community developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC).
Spanish for “monarch”, Monarca embodies the spirit of authentic Mexican culture through traditional dishes, drinks and décor. Monarca’s menu will offer an assortment of classic meats, fish, masa, mole, and house-made tortillas. At the bar, Mezcal, a distilled alcoholic beverage crafted from agave, will be one of the highlights along with a comprehensive wine and champagne list.
“The idea with Monarca is to capture the spirit of the Mexican culture in the food, drinks and décor - to wrap a warm blanket around you and make you feel at home. We call it multigenerational cozy,” said Mauricio Guerra, Owner of Monarca. “Our food is not to be confused with Tex-Mex. We will offer a Mexican-inspired culinary experience.
“We chose The Woodlands for our first location because it has a great restaurant culture that embraces good food and good times, and it values true Mexican dishes. Moreover, The Woodlands community embraces family values similar to the Mexican culture and has been named the best place to live for two consecutive years.”
Monarca is expected to open in spring 2023.
“With its unique and authentic menu presentations, Monarca will be a perfect addition to Creekside Park Village Green, complementing the diversity of dining selections, retail and customer service establishments within walking distance for residents of Creekside Park and guests,” said Marissa Moreau, Manager of Leasing for The Howard Hughes Corporation.
Creekside Park Village Green is located at 26400 Kuykendahl Road between Creekside Forest Drive and Creekside Green Drive.
