Make 2020 your year to learn how to cook and eat healthy! According to recent studies, statistics have shown that most Americans are uneducated on food safety. The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s mobile cooking school, On the Road To Healthy Living, is coming to the rescue!
The South Library invites adults ages 18 and up to come to this program and be educated on nutrition and food safety, as well as participate in a cooking demonstration of tasty (but nutritious) dishes, including Chicken Marsala, Wilted Kale Salad, and Balsamic Strawberries! The event takes place on Wednesday, February 12, 11:30am - 1:30pm and is presented by a member of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, an organization of professional and voluntary educators who work to bring agricultural knowledge to people all across the state of Texas. To sign up, visit www.countylibrary.org/calendar.htm or call 936-442-7727.
