Interfaith Spring Caregivers Conference will be held Saturday, May 5th at Christ Church United Methodist Church from 8:30am-3:00pm and will feature free skill-building and informative workshops for family members caring for a loved one, including children with special needs.

My Gym The Woodlands is offering a special Parent's Night Out for children ages 3-9 years with special needs on Friday April 13 from 6:00-9:00pm. The My Gym Challenged America Foundation, the nonprofit division of My Gym, is committed to helping children facing severe physical and cognitive challenges by awarding special therapeutic gifts. Adaptive chairs, music therapies, specialized swing sets, and other essential items are purchased for our courageous young applicants to bring them simple joys they are otherwise unable to experience. Members $30 / Nonmembers $35; Siblings: $5 discount.
We Rock The Spectrum - The Woodlands offers Your Dependent With Special Needs: Making their Future Secure on April 14 from 10:00-11:30am. Families with children and other dependents with special needs, no matter what the age or disability, face many serious questions about how to best prepare for their future well-being. This workshop addresses such critical issues as protecting government benefit eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI), creating Special Needs Trusts and the importance of a Will. Taking steps now can help arrange for a loved one's well-being today and tomorrow.
