Explore ducks at the local duck pond or lake. Feed the ducks if feeding is allowed.
Make your own Indoor Pond: Put sand in a dish pan. In the middle of the sand, dig a hole large enough for a plastic bowl to fit in and fill it with water. Place plastic animals around the sand and in the water and let your child explore your indoor pond.
Find the Ducks Hide stuffed, rubber, or paper ducks for your child to find. As your child gets close in proximity to a hidden duck, make the "quack quack" noise, explaining to your child that "Oh, you must be close! I hear a duck quacking!"
Pretend Ducks Pretend to be ducks, quacking and waddling.
