(Tune "Farmer in the Dell")
"Baby's name" is here today,

Hip, hip, let's shout "Hurray"
'Cause (baby's name) is here today.


Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
(Use your hand in the air slightly above your
child's head to make a "twinkling" motion)
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!


Fuzzy Wuzzy
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy, was he?
Was he bare?


Sock Puppet Cat
Use a sock to make a cat hand
puppet - eyes, nose, ears,
whiskers - and play with the
"cat" with your child. Sing songs,
make the "meow" sound, and
kiss your baby with the puppet.

Clap Your Hands
Clap your hands,
One, two, three.
(Clap hands three times.)

Then like this,
Shake 'em free.
(Shake hands loosely in front of
body.)

Bending forward, touch your
toes,
(Bend down and touch toes.)

Then reach up and touch your
nose!
(Stretch arms way up high,
then touch nose.)


Blinking Lights
Show your infant lights
that blink - on an alarm
clock,  car, toys, etc.

Lights On/Off: Teach
your infant how to
switch a light on and
off. If he doesn't have
the physical strength
yet, you can switch the
light on/off yourself
while saying the words
"lights on" and "lights
off."

Star Scavenger
Hunt
Help your infant find all
the star shapes around
the house. Look on
clothing, food
packaging, toys, etc.


Face to Face Interaction:

Hold your infant snug in your
arms and hum a lullaby to
him.

Play with your infant with a
stuffed animal. Use a funny
voice to make the stuffed
animal talk. Make the animal
give your baby kisses on each
body part, counting to ten as
you go (Ex. One kiss on
baby's little head, two kisses
on baby's ears, three kisses
on baby's knee, etc.)
