Storybook Theatre Friday, May 2nd presents at 11am “Bread and Honey” by Frank Asch. Bear paints a picture of his mother at school. On his way home all of his friends suggest how he can make the painting even better. The resulting portrait is very unique, but will Mama Bear like it?

Storybook Theatre Friday, May 9th presents at 11am “Chicken Little” adapted by Mara Alperin. It’s Fairy Tale Friday; and the museum’s own Fairy Godmother, a.k.a. Miss Jan, will be reading one of her favorite fairy tales. After an acorn drops on his head, Chicken Little believes that the sky is falling! As he and his feathered friends run to tell the king, they bump into Foxy Loxy…uh oh! Join us to see how the story ends. You’re invited to wear a fairy-tale costume or tee shirt today!

Storybook Theatre Friday, May 16th presents at 11am “Draw Me a Story” by Olivier Dupin. It’s Get Caught Reading Month. This inspiring story features a little girl who loved to read stories and began to help her favorite storybook characters change their stories with the help of her felt-tip pens. That’s how Anna became an illustrator!

Storybook Theatre Friday, May 23rd presents at 11am “The Turtle and the Moon” by Charles Turner. It’s World Turtle Day! This sweet story is about a lonely turtle who had no one to play with. One night he woke up and saw something big and round and strange—the moon, his new friend!

Storybook Theatre Friday, May 30th presents at 11am “When Dinosaurs Came with Everything” by Elise Broach. A bored little boy has to run errands with Mom…but he finds that on this day only, all the stores are giving away a very special treat of the Jurassic kind with any purchase! Now he has to figure out what to do with these super-sized treats and how to convince Mom to let them stay!!
