Come support a good cause! Local mom, Tesa, was diagnosed with uterine and cervical cancer in October 2022. She had radical hysterectomy and exploratory surgery on 12/02/22.
While the surgery itself went well, the cancer had spread to several lymph nodes so the plan to start chemo and radiation after recovery was made. However, Tesa began to rapidly decline during recovery with sepsis and no one knew why. Tesa was moments from death when her oncologist made the life saving decision to rush her back into emergency surgery and there discovered the cause of what was taking her life- a hugely inflated toxic megacolon in her right colon and a ruptured transverse colon.
While our medical bills are estimated to reach $1million, we could not have made this journey without our friends and family and the team at Methodist Woodlands.
