Storybook Theatre in SEPTEMBER
Friday, September 06, 2024, 11:00am

On Friday, September 6th at 11:00am enjoy readings of “All the Mamas:  A True Love Story for Mothers and Daughters of All Ages” and “All the Papas:  A True Love Story for Fathers and Their Children” by visiting author Carol Gandee Shough. Both of these books focus on the family stories and history we all have and share, and they are a perfect way to pay tribute to Grandparents Day, which is this Sunday.  Author Carol Gandee Shough will be reading excerpts from her books on stage; and that will be immediately followed by a meet-and-greet, where she will be selling and signing books until 12:15pm.

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, September 13th presents “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds. Just make a mark and see where it takes you.” Her teacher’s words give Vashti the gentle nudge she needs to have the confidence to channel her creativity and create something wonderful beginning with one little dot. September 15 is International Dot Day!

Storybook Theatre at 11am Friday, September 20th presents “Skippyjon Jones” by Judy Schachner. It’s Happy Cat Month…the perfect time to share the exciting and humorous adventures of Skippyjon Jones, a lively Siamese cat who insists that he is a Chihuahua named El Skippito!

On Friday, September 27th at 11:00am enjoy Bilingual Storybook Theatre and reading of “A House for Hermit Crab/Una Casa para Cangrejo Ermitaño” by Eric Carle. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, special guests from All Nations Community School will be joining us for a reading of this classic Eric Carle story in English and Spanish. Hermit Crab teaches us a lesson about growing up and dealing with changes as he grows out of one house after another and searches for the right home.

Introduce your child to the wonder of reading and instill a love of books at an early age. Storybook Theatre combines your favorite childhood books with songs, rhymes and fingerplays which are meant to promote early literacy and enhance language development.

Included in the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and children 1 year and older. bit.ly/TWCMtickets  #BookReading #StoryTime #ChildrensBook #Educate #Empower #Excite
