Ome Calli Café: Coffee Shops in The Woodlands

We're visiting every coffee shop in The Woodlands, one cup at a time! Our next stop was Ome Calli Café, a family-owned, plant-based Mexican café tucked into the Grogan's Mill Village Center.

"Ome Calli" means "Second Home" in Nahuatl, and that idea comes through in the space. The café feels cozy and eclectic, with rich colors, darker woods, plants, art, and ancestral touches throughout. It's the kind of place that feels made for slowing down and having a good conversation.

The menu is just as distinctive. Ome Calli combines specialty coffee with Mexican flavors and wellness-focused ingredients, including adaptogens and organic spices rather than artificial syrups. Their organic coffee is roasted in-house, and you'll also find vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free options.

The Golden Sun here is especially interesting—a warm, earthy drink made with turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, ashwagandha, soy milk, and agave. We appreciated finding drinks here that aren't the same selections you'll see at every coffee shop.
