Let's Celebrate! The Village of Creekside Park is 10 Years Old!

Has it been 10 years already? Goodness, the time flies! This October, you're invited to join The Woodlands® Development Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC), as they host A Decade to Remember, an  anniversary event at Creekside Park® Village Green on Thursday, October 19 from 7  9 pm.  A Decade to Remember celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Village of Creekside Park which opened in The Woodlands on October 19, 2007.

Guests will enjoy live music and free commemorative t-shirts while supplies last. Additionally, face painters and balloon artists will entertain the children. If you really want to get into the spirit, arrive early and treat your family to one of the Creekside Green restaurants for dinner. Shogun anyone?

Sensory-Friendly Day for Your Child with Autism

On Monday, October 9 from 10am - 3pm, the Childrens Museum of Houston will host an exclusive event for children with Autism. Sensory Friendly Day is an opportunity for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to explore the Museum.  Doors will be closed to the public.  There will be no music, and sound-reducing headphones will be available.  This is one of the few opportunities when outside food and drinks will be allowed, as Fresh Café will be closed.  Pre-registration required and can be made by contacting  Lydia Dungus at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 2. Purchase fresh produce from a farmer’s market. It’s harvest season, and you’re bound to find fresh fruit & veggie favorites, farm-fresh eggs, and handmade preserves and pickles at one of the many open-air farmer’s markets in our area. Here’s our list.

It's  concert gala with drinks, food, music, and dancing, and you're invited!! And of course, it's all for a great cause! HandUp Global Goods, a Montgomery County-based nonprofit organization that seeks to eliminate a life of handouts for teens transitioning out of orphanages, is hosting its second annual Bringin It Home fundraising concert on Thursday, October 26. Houston-born Texas country singer Cory Morrow will headline this event, which will take at Dosey Does Big Barn, 25911 Intestate 45 in The Woodlands.
